Magic in your pocket
Dani DaOrtiz’s devilry,
hidden in your phone.
The ideas, concepts, subtleties and handlings of his magic routines, turned into apps to create devastating effects.
What they hide
The same ideas, subtleties and handlings behind his routines work in secret inside every app.
Move your mouse over the phone screen to see what the app hides.Tap the phone screen to see what the app hides.
The difference
The goal is to put all of Dani’s devilry into an app: his ideas, his concepts, his subtleties and his handlings. That is how devastating effects are born.
The same principles Dani has spent years refining in his routines are now the logic of each app.
Tiny, almost invisible details that close every possible explanation, one by one.
How to guide the spectator, when to give them freedom and when to take it away without them noticing. It is in every screen.
The apps
Coming soon
Twelve cards in a circle and an arrow spinning over them. Each spin removes one. The last card left is exactly the one the spectator chose.
Five random questions about tastes and habits. The result describes the spectator… and ends by naming the three cards that represent them.
Coming soon
The great Zoltan waits behind his crystal ball. The spectator chooses… and their number appears in the mist of the ball, in front of everyone.
Magic in your pocket
Open them in the browser and they stay on your home screen like any other app. No stores, no waiting.
Open them once with a connection and they work in a basement, on a plane or in a bar with no signal.
Full screen, no telltale bars, always upright and with secret exits that only you know.
