Getting inside Dani DaOrtiz's mind is not an easy task.

That is why Dani has designed this in-person Masterclass, first-hand, for a very small group of students. A chance to live inside his way of understanding magic, to study his principles and to dive deeply into his unique magical vision.

A vision that is born from a deep look inside the spectator.

For Dani, the trick does not start in the magician's hands but in the mind of the one watching. Their expectations, their perceptions and, finally, their memories are all part of the trick itself. Dani sculpts the spectator's experience, building and transforming their reality to reach something much deeper than a simple effect: a unique experience.

Dani talks about the five points that shape the magician: head (psychology), hands (technique), feet (stability), body (communication) and aura (experience). All of them work together in every instant. Everything is under control: nothing is said at random, every body movement has a meaning, and every routine is built on solid ground.

Over the last few years, Dani has created a school of magicians who study, deepen and work under the daortinian influence. More than a thousand published routines, a multitude of books translated into several languages and a way of understanding magic that has deeply influenced a new generation of magicians.

His contributions to magic and his research have earned him FISM's recognition with the prestigious "Theory and Philosophy" award, presented in person by his friend Max Maven — an honour previously granted to masters such as Juan Tamariz, Eugene Burger, Roberto Giobbi and Jeff McBride.

This Masterclass is not designed for one single kind of student. It is thought both for those who simply want to dive into Dani's philosophy and way of understanding magic, and for those who need to work in depth on a specific project: an act for a contest, a professional show, a routine or any idea that needs to be developed.

That is why the "One to One" sessions exist. Every student will have an exclusive space with each teacher to talk about their own interests, doubts and questions. A moment to go deeper, to analyse and to work directly on what really matters to them.

And then there is "Spotlight". A space where each student brings whatever they want to work on: an act, a topic, a question, an unresolved idea. It doesn't have to be a full routine. From there, students and teachers work on it together.

There is no closed syllabus. Dani doesn't arrive with a script — he arrives to listen. Every session is built live, from whatever interests emerge in the group. But everything, absolutely everything, revolves around one thing: the spectator's experience.

For Dani, the trick doesn't happen in the magician's hands but inside the one watching. Before technique comes experience. And at the centre of that experience is one obsession: building memories. "What the spectator does not remember simply does not exist." Working with short- and long-term memory, moments are built that are vividly remembered even though they never happened — thought-of cards that were never thought of, remembered shuffles that never took place.

Lateral thinking is one of Dani's most powerful tools: delivering information below the conscious threshold so the spectator can't process or question it. And to do so, a whole toolbox of concepts born from his own vision: the "pillars", the "punctuation marks", chaos management, psychological forces, naturalness, "closing doors"… They all teach you to shape how the audience sees, records and stores a trick. The technique isn't in the deck — it's in perception.

And of course, staging and communication. How you move your body, how you look, how you speak, how you place a silence: every gesture and every word hold the trick together.

And not only Dani. The same vision, seen through different eyes. Giancarlo, Yann and Markobi have absorbed Dani's work and each one has taken it into their own territory: other styles, other structures, other tricks. Seeing how the same ideas can live in different hands is perhaps the best way to truly understand how far each of us can go. They are the living proof.
